Centro Asturianos Memorial Park

Tampa, Florida

This mutual aid society split from its parent group, Centro Espanol. It consisted primarily of immigrants from Asturias, Spain. This cemetery was started in the 1940's because the original one was full. A Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Baldemero Lopez, is buried here.

This cemetery was featured in an article ("Tampa Bay's 'Six Feet Under' Tour" by Karen Haymon Long) in the June 23, 2002 The Tampa Tribune Travel Section.
